EnglishScore by British Council is a trusted way to measure your English proficiency. Through Pelita Learning Hub, you will take the Core Skills Test with special connect code, which assesses three key areas: Grammar & Vocabulary, Reading, and Listening. The test is completed through a mobile app, giving you the flexibility to take it anytime, anywhere. It will take approximately 30 – 40 minutes to complete the test.

Where do I get my Connect Code?
Your Connect Code will be sent by email once your payment is confirmed. Please click the download box in that email to get your test guide and Connect Code.
 
What is this test result used for?
Your result can be used as one of the English proficiency requirements for UPH admission and is also recognized by various other institutions and government bodies that accept EnglishScore results.
 
How many times can I take the test?
You get 3 attempts. Within a 24-hour period from your first attempt, you can take the test up to 2 times, so your third attempt must be taken after 24 hours from your first attempt. You can claim a certificate based on your best score among the three.
 
How do I take the test?
Download the EnglishScore app and select the Core Skills Test. Make sure to enter your Connect Code before starting, then follow the in-app instructions to complete the room scan and proceed with the test.
 
What happens after I finish the test?
Please immediately contact PLH via WhatsApp at +62 813-8215-1581 to inform us that you have completed the test, so we can submit your claim to EnglishScore. You will then be prompted in the app to enter your name and take a photo for your certificate.
 
How long does it take to get my certificate?
Certificates are issued within 1-3 days, counted from when you submit your name and photo in the app, so make sure to do this promptly.
 
Can I take the test on a tablet or laptop?
No, the test must be taken on a smartphone only.
 
What if someone else appears on my camera during the test?
Your result will not be valid, and you will be asked to retake the test.
